Unitymedia Bewerben Sie sich jetzt, Internet-Installation im Mai?

Hi all,

I'm new to the forum and I have a question related to the Unitymedia internet service.
Sorry if I write in English, I pasted the German translation under this message.

I am moving to a new apartment on 1 May. I have stopped my current contract with Vodafone and will switch to Unitymedia.
The question is: if I create a new Unitymedia account, where do I choose the possibility to start paying from 1 May?
Also, when registering for the new service, can I request the technician to come in the first week of May?
I want to apply now to make sure I have an internet connection in the new apartment as soon as possible, however I don't want to have it installed in April since I don't live in the new address yet

I'd really appreciate if you could help me out here. After I get your replies I'll become a new Unitymedia customer (now wondering about what speed to get..)

Ich bin in eine neue Wohnung bewegt am 1. Mai. Ich habe mein aktueller Vertrag mit Vodafone und gestoppt wird, um Unitymedia zu wechseln.
Die Frage ist: wenn ich einen neuen Unitymedia-Konto zu erstellen, wo wähle ich die Möglichkeit, um die Zahlung ab dem 1. Mai?

Best thing you can do is: Order via hotline ( telephone ).
If Unitymedia is available at your new location, you will be contacted by a technician via phone to appoint a date of installation. If that installation was succesful your contract starts.

Yes. Your contract starts after the installation of the technician. And as Loktarogar said, the technician will call you to make an appointment for the installation, so you can make that appointment in the first week of May and your contract will start after a (hopefully) successful installation in May.

The only problem with that might be documents that Unitymedia tries to send to you before May... so if possible you should try to talk to the Hotline and use that to order the product and tell them your situation.

On the other hand, even if you just when you move into your new home, the installation will be very fast. Personally I ordered on a Sunday via Internet and on the following Thursday the technician came to install everything and I had my Internet connection working. The major factor for the time from order to installation is how fast a technician can be assigned to you.

It's good to hear that the connection can be established quickly after applying for the service. I hope this can be the same in Frankfurt as well.
I'll call the hotline and try to set up everything like that.
By the way, I'm really surprised by the new offers. Cheap and much faster compared with other providers!

I would give you the hint, that you should ask somebody, who is able to speak German to call the hotline.
If you talk in English to them, maybe there are problems in explaining your problem. :zwinker:
