unser router der am modem hängt schafft maximal eh nur 400mbit durchsatz im Moment (welche rund um die uhr anliegen, selbst wenn der ofdm auf 23db abstürzt) und wir haben auch zu keinem zeitpunkt paketverlust. Kurzum: die Leitung ist aus praktischer Sicht für uns störungsfrei und kann theoretisch derzeit nur schlechter werden. Darum will ich da kein Fass auf machen. Aber wenn die von sich aus irgendwo auf der C linie nen Störer finden hab ich kein Problem damit, wenn sie den ausmerzen.

Du erkennst mein Dilemma? Einerseits hätte ich natürlich gerne einen stabilen OFDM, andererseits hab ich schiss dass sich die Leitung durch deren fehlersuche auf unbestimmte Zeit verschlechtert. xD

Wenn du keine Paketverluste hast (Skype/Teams/Online-Gaming etc. lagt o.ä,), dann kannst du das wohl so weiterlaufen lassen.
Wenn dann noch (hoffentlich) mal der OFDM in die niedrigeren Frequenzen geschoben wird wird es vermutlich dann eh besser werden.

So, ich hab nun auch die Grafana-Prometheus-TC4400_Exporter Monitoring Lösung auf dem Raspi 3B+ an den Start gebracht. Hab mir noch nen 8GB USB Stick in den Raspi integriert, den nach /srv gemountet und dorthin das /var/lib/grafana Zeugs verlinkt. Damit hab ich alles Grafanabezogene auf dem Stick.

Achja, entgegen der mir hier erklärten Vorgehensweise hab ich es mit docker-compose realisiert. Somit krieg ich alle benötigten Dockerimages mit einem Konfigfile und 1 Aufruf gestartet, beendet und so weiter und muss nicht alles einzeln managen. Scheint für multi-Image Docker Szenarien etwas eleganter...

@rv112 / @cruz-r: Könnt ihr mal Eure Dashboard JSONs teilen, mit denen Ihr diese Verlaufsgraphen im Grafana habt? Ich sehe da aktuell immer nur die absoluten Werte (Standard JSON vom Lindenberg github) und wäre an "Optimierungen" interessiert.

bezügl. meines OFDM problems hab ich vorhin eine PN im Vodafone forum erhalten. Da wurde mir gesagt, dass in meiner gegend scheibar ein paar größere Störungen vorhanden seien. Fand ich erstaunlich, da ich davon rein gar nix merke am anschluss in Sachen verbindungsabbruch, paketverlust oder sonst was. hab auch gleich gesagt, dass die Störung des kanals auch nicht bei uns am Anschluss zu suchen sei, da der ofdm nachts gerne mal wieder mit 34db rein kommt. Damit die nicht auf die idee kommen, einen NE4 techniker herzuschicken.

So ich brauche hier nochmal eure Hilfe Jungs.

Ich komm einfach nicht mehr weiter.
Da die UDM mit der FW etwas Komplexer alles ist habe ich meine FB wieder hinter das TC 4400 Gehangen um zu schauen ob ich das mit den Port Weiterleiten hin bekomme.

- Cablemax 500 mit DS: Check
- TC 4400 sauber Provisioniert: Check
- FB mit Aktueller FW und geöffneten Ports: Check
- Von einer externen IP komme ich auf das Webif der FB per direkte IP und per Dyndns: Check
- Dyndns und IP von aussen Pingbar: Check
- Port 443 chekcen über https://www.canyouseeme.org/ wird mir als Success angezeigt was passt sonst würde ich nicht aufs WEBif der FB kommen.



So jetzt egal welchen Port ich in der FB öffne und ich über https://www.canyouseeme.org/ Checke wir mir immer als nicht offen angezeigt.

Im Anhang ein paar Bilder damit ihr seht das ich kein Sch**** rede und ich vll was übersehe.

Ich weis aktuell nicht mehr weiter und hoffe auf eure hilfe.

Dein Thema hat doch gar nix mehr mit dem Modem zu tun. Wäre es nicht sinnvoller, einen eigenen Beitrag dazu zu schreiben?

Zu Deinem Problem: Ist denn der Port 22 auf dem Ubuntu Server wirklich offen für jedermann? Nicht, dass dort noch ne ufw läuft oder der SSH Zugang per se nicht offen ist (Ubuntu Standard). Bitte innerhalb des LAN einen SSH Zugriff auf Ubuntu testen.

Ja im Lan Klappt alles, und ich habe auch gechrieben das es mit jeden anderen port genau das selbe ist nicht nur port 22.

Und da läuft kein ufw auf dem Ubuntu?

Gehen alle forwards auf den Ubuntu Rechner?

Hat die UDM kein Log der Firewall, wo Drin steht, was mit dem Paket gemacht wurde? In der OPNsense kann ich genau sehen, was mit den Paketen passiert. Da müsstest Du doch sehen, ob der Traffice von der Firewall abgelehnt oder weitergeleitet wird.

Und generell die Empfehlung: Lass die vielen Portweiterleitungen sein. Da machst Du Dir unnötig einen Schweizer Käse aus der Firewall. Einfach ein VPN Server betreiben mit extrem starker Authentifizierung und Dich darauf verbinden und danach dann ganz normal ins LAN als wärst Du zuhause.

Da gebe ich dir vollkommen recht mit dem Schweizer Käse, aber es geht bei mir nur um einen Port.
Auf dem Ubuntu läuft keine FW
Es ist auch nicht port 22.
Die ports die ich da geöffnet habe sind nur zu testen, und werden direkt wieder gelöscht.


Ich kann einfach nicht verstehen warum es nicht geht und versuche das rauszufinden.
Kann es sein das von Seiten von UM/VF irgendwo was mit meinem Configfile nicht in Ordnung ist.

Also wenn man per Docsis Konfigfile Einfluss auf lokale Firewalls (in Geräten verschiedenster Hersteller) nehmen könnte, dann hätten wir ganz andere Probleme und das wäre sicherlich schon bekannt. Das kann ich mir so nicht vorstellen.

Und ich würde auch mit der Raterei aufhören und ein System mit ordentlichem Firewalllog zum Testen nehmen, um genau zu sehen, was die Firewall mit der Anfrage auf Port XX macht. Das kann doch die UDM sicherlich. Schau doch da mal rein.

Danke. Damit macht es gleich viel mehr Sinn. Außer ein kurzer Ausreißer bei Kanal 2 ist seit 2 Tagen alles recht "stabil". Selbst das Hin und Her des OFDM bleibt immer im gleichen Rahmen...

jetzt mal ehrlich, langsam glaub ich den OFDM werten im modem nich mehr. Jetzt ist er eben auf einen bisherigen tiefstpunkt gesunken.


Modem zeigt aber weiterhin bonded an und im SNMP event log gibts keinerlei Beschwerden. bei lächerlichen 22db müsste es doch Paketverluste und Schimpfe im log hageln?!

1,7% unkorrigierbare Fehler im Vergleich zu den korrigierbaren sind jetzt nicht die Welt, aber natürlich auch nicht i.O.
Erfahrungsgemäß bricht der OFDM ab 20-21,5 irgendwann weg bzw. wechselt in Partitial Service.

Meiner ist nun seit einigen Tagen zumindest wieder bei 28,5dB, wobei Abzweiger, 4 Verstärkerpunkte geprüft und zum Teil erneuert wurden. (Erst heute der Abzweiger). Scheinbar hat man es jetzt nun soweit eingegrenzt, dass es vermutlich an der Linie liegt, die hin zu unserem Ort führt. Hier sind zwischen zwei Verstärkerpunkten etwa 400m Weg, auf dem der OFDM (und zwar nahezu nur ab 780 Mhz) massivst absackt. Aktuell wird hier ein defektes Kabel vermutet. Das betrifft bzgl. dem OFDM somit den ganzen Ort. Da noch nicht so viele Anschlüsse hier geschaltet sind (vermutlich hier im Teilort unter 20 Anschlüsse) ist vermutlich meine Störungsmeldung bislang die einzigste.... ich bin gespannt.

Aber es klingt doch schonmal sehr positiv, dass die bei euch so eifrig am suchen und instand setzen sind! Macht bei dir die Leitung dadurch Probleme oder ist die bei dir davon auch so unbeeindruckt wie bei uns zum glück?

Im Moment liegen bei uns wieder 30,8db an, aber das schwankt hin und her. Im Vodafone forum hab ich mittlerweile erfahren, dass es bei mir in der Umgebung scheinbar seit dem 28. eine größere Störung gibt und die techniker da derzeit dran sind. Allerdings schwankt der OFDM schön mindestens seit Dienstag letzter Woche so.

Bei mir springt die Modulation tatsächlich andauernd hin und her, was sich wohl in häufigeren Packetloss bemerkbar macht und dann auch in einer höheren Fehlerquote. Das merke ich dann vor allem in Skype/Teams, wenn du telefonierst und dann teilweise 2-3 Sekunden "Aussetzer" hast. Sehr unschön im Homeoffice . Aber das tritt nicht mehr täglich auf.

Etwas unschön bei dir (und für die Fehlersuche sicherlich nicht zuträglich) ist, dass die Leitungspegel zum Teil extrem (22 auf 30,8db) hin und her springen...

Das ist eben der Witz an der Geschichte. Eigentlich würde man ein verhalten wie bei dir vermuten, aber glücklicher und merkwürdiger Weise machen sich diese Schwankungen absolut gar nicht bemerkbar, weswegen ich mich auch immer nur kleinlaut über den ofdm beschwere. Der Anschluss liefert immer die vom router maximal machbaren 400mbit, im online gaming hab null paketverlust und gleichmäßige Latenzen. Selbst als die 22dB anlagen hab ich kontinuierlich cloudflare mit 9-10ms angepingt und es gab keine modulationswechsel im SNMP log. Wobei ich da einfach das Gefühl hab, dass er grundsätzlich nur durchgehend mit 256qam moduliert...
Weiß diesbezüglich jemand was, ob das Modem anhand der firmware unterschiedlich mit dem OFDM umgeht? Da wir ja noch ein "altes" tc4400 laufen haben mit der 12.20er firmware, zeigt er ja auch immer nur die Modulation "0" beim OFDM an während bei allen neueren ja 0,1,2 steht.

bevor das so extrem wurde, war er nachts sogar gerne mal auf 34,5db. D.h der schwankte bei uns tageszeitabhängig zwischen 26 und 34db. Mittlerweile kommen aber keine 34 mehr wirklich an und er bleibt immer irgendwo zwischen 25 und 30 mit ausreißern nach unten. Aber das Modem steckt das einfach so weg scheinbar und wie du schon sagtest, ist das Verhältnis zwischen unkorregierbaren und korregierbaren sehr zu gunsten der korregierbaren. Ich würde fast behaupten, dass dies sehr für das TC4400 spricht

Das TC4400 kommt mit schlechten Leitungswerten extrem gut klar. Die Leitung ist einfach irgendwo angeknackst und je nachdem strahlt es extrem ein. Das Verhalten ist dafür typisch, hatte ich auch bei einem defekten Stecker.

Ich glaube nicht, dass der Fehler in unseren Kabeln zu finden ist. Wie gesagt, das Kabel vom hüp zum Verstärker ist vllt 4 oder 5m lang und zum Modem 2m oder so. Und die ganze Anlage ist in einem Raum im Keller, in dem man nichtmal Mobilfunk Empfang hat

Das versuche ich derzeit Vodafone klar zu machen. Ist aber etwas mühselig. Das letzte was ich mitbekommen habe ist, dass es laut offiziellem vodafone forum moderator in unserer Umgebung seit dem 28. eine größere Störung gibt. Ob die dafür verantwortlich ist weiß ich nicht, denn der OFDM kam noch nie wirklich gut hier rein, allerdings war er auch noch nie konstant so schlecht wie derzeit. Und abgesehen von den OFDM Werten macht sich die Störung hier nicht bemerkbar (paketverluste oder speed-einbruch fehlanzeige).
Und ob die Störung mittlerweile behoben ist hat man mir bislang nicht gesagt. Die Störungs- und Wartungsarbeiten Karte ist auch ohne jede Aussagekraft (zeigt keine Störung an). Bei uns hier im Südwesten interessiert sich keiner für die, da steht nie etwas für unsere Gegend, nichtmal als die Wartungsarbeiten stattfanden, wodurch sich sogar die MAC Adresse am CMTS änderte.

Parallel dazu versuche ich denen noch ein kaputtes Verstärkergehäuse zu melden, welches wahrscheinlich denen gehört (haben sie ja mit unitymedia mitgekauft ). Das kann sicher auch nicht gesund für die Leitung sein, mit den Löchern im Sockel usw.

Die Löcher im Gehäuse sind "unschön", dürften aber für dein OFDM-Problem nicht verantwortlich sein, da die Technik oben im Schrank sitzt und unten "nur" zur Kühlung/Lüftung dient. Feuchtigkeit/Regen kommt somit nicht direkt ran.
